Library Cards: Your Library Account: 
 

Register at the Circulation Desk for your free Oakville Public Library card. To register, you will require one piece of identification showing your name and current address. A driver's license, tax receipt or utility bill may be used for this purpose. Family members of all ages may become cardholders.

New Web Self Registration:

Now you can go to our web-self-registration page and register for a Library card on-line. Just follow this link and click on the "New User" button. Please note that this temporary card number is only good for 10 days.

You must come to your local Library branch and pick up your permanent card before the 10 days has expired. Again you will need to provide appropriate identification to confirm the information that you provided on the web-self-registration page.

Lost or Stolen Cards:

Please report lost or stolen cards immediately. Call 905-815-2043. Replacement cards are available at a minimal charge.

Please take care of your library card. You are responsible for any items borrowed on it and for any charges that may result from late, lost or damaged materials.

The information contained in your account is confidential. If you are outside the library Click Here to access your own account. In the library use the Look at YOUR Library Record menu option on the public computer terminals.
